Artist Lecture 2/24/11: Anita Kunz

On Thursday(2/24/11) our student body had the privilege of meeting three excellent illustrators. I found interesting that they all were illustrators but did worked on a completely different level.  The one I was more interested in was Anita Kunz.

Anita Kunz is a Canadian born illustrator who has contributed her skills to magazines such as The New York Times, Rolling Stones, Vanity Fair, several others.  Also, she did work for advertising agencies, book publishers and design firms.  Kunz has illustrated more than fifty book cover jackets.  She teaches at workshops and lectures at universities and institutions.  Kunz has received several awards and has some of her in work in museums such as the Norman Rockwell Museum.  Others have been place in the Library of Congress and the National Portrait Gallery in Washington D.C..  From 2000 to 2003 Anita served on the Board of Directors of the Illustration conference and she was recently named one of the fifty most influential women in Canada by the National Post newspaper.
